All the Breaking Waves is another Contemporary Fiction Romance novel from Kerry Lonsdale who is rapidly moving to the top of my Favorite Author List.
Close on the heels of Everything We Keep, Kerry has once again produced a wonderfully written storyline full of emotion, suspense, discovery, and hope. Add to that, deep-seated love and loyalty that guide the lives of the main characters and you have another story you’ll not be able to put down.
All the Breaking Waves brings Molly and her daughter back to the small California coastal town where Molly was raised. Back to the ocean she treasures, the house that terrifies her, the grandmother who raised and loves her, and Owen, her childhood sweetheart. But, Molly and her daughter are not here for a visit. They are here so she can help her daughter bury her magical powers; just as Molly had buried hers’ years before.
However, mixed in with the powers she suppressed is the deep-seated love for Owen that she ran away from. Love, and a host of other emotions, she must now face.
As with Everything We Keep, Kerry’s outstanding character building will have you suffering through the pain, joy and every other emotion Owen, Molly, her daughter, and grandmother are cycled through. And, at the end of that roller coaster ride, you’ll find you’ve become a better person for having known them and shared their life.
And, while the twists and turns keep you guessing, the emotional involvement with the characters will pull you in and keep you page turning, well beyond where you intended to stop for the night.
Truly another outstanding, wonderfully written story, by an extremely talented author. No matter what your favorite genre is, this story belongs at the top of your “must read” list.
