A Love Letter to Whiskey is a wonderfully unique New Adult Romance Story.
Unique is several ways. First in its’ complexity. If you’re looking for your run of the mill, cookie cutter romance, this is not it. A Love Letter to Whiskey has a complex plot, complex characters and an up and down love affair that will have you ripping your hair out at times.
The main characters B and Jamie (AKA Whiskey) have been friends since high school. Not just friends, they’re in love with each other and they both know it. But, over the next decade, life takes them on a whirlwind tour of emotions in one of the stormiest love stories you’ll ever read.
As their relationship gets torn apart, put back together and torn apart again, over and over, your heart will feel like it’s on a roller coaster. With emotions that are all over the place, they will drag you with them: Cursing, cheering them on, wishing they would just walk away from each other and everyone else that is trying to help them.
A Love letter to Whiskey is a rollercoaster ride of emotions; love, friendship, hate, despair, and hope that will have your emotions see-sawing from page one to the end. It is simple. It is complex. It is life.
It is also excellently written with characters you’ll love, hate, want to hug, kill, shake and just try to get out of your head.
As one other reviewer so aptly put it, it is also one of those books that will stay with you forever.
I cannot say enough about this book. It is truly one of the best books I have read in a long time. Along with that comes a warning. It is not an easy read. But it is so worth the struggle in the end.
Right at the top of my recommended to read list.
