Book Review – Mobster’s Girl (Mobster’s Series Book 1) by Amy Rachiele

Mobster’s Girl is said to be an Italian Mafia Romance story. I would also classify it as a Coming of Age Romance story. In either case, it is a very well written story that will capture your attention and hold it until the end.

The two main characters are Antonio and Megan. One Italian (Antonio) and one Irish (Megan, of course). Both live an ethnic New Jersey neighborhood, that’s primarily Italian and, have known each other since they were 5 and 6 respectively. Perhaps, know of each other would be a better description.

Why? Because they have both been warned to stay away from each other. Supposedly, because they come from and live in two different worlds; one Irish and the other Italian. But, that doesn’t stop them from being attracted to one another. In fact, it just adds to the mystery of each in the eyes of the other.

By the time Antonio is 18 and Megan is 17, their hearts and their bodies take over and they begin to date. Quickly, however, they find out how really different their worlds are. Or ….. are they?

I enjoyed Mobster’s Girl very much. It has an unusual storyline and very unique ending. It’s very well written, easy to read and Amy’s character development will have you falling instantly in love with Megan: And soon after Antonio, in spite of who he is and what he does.

For the first book in a series it is the perfect draw to pull you in and want to read Book 2, and the rest of the series. Yet, it is ended in a way that doesn’t leave you hanging and feeling suckered into buying the next book.

If you like love stories, I would definitely add Mobster’s Girl to your want to read list.
