Doing It Over is a contemporary romance novel and the first in the Most Likely To series by Catherine Bybee.

Making good on a promise to return for her ten-year reunion, Melanie, with her daughter Hope, are on their way to the small town in Oregon where Melanie grew up. Before they can make it into town, her junker of a car dies, leaving them stranded in the pouring rain. Minutes later, Wyatt comes along offering help, which Melanie refuses and so, he waits in his truck nearby until the sheriff shows up.

With nowhere to stay, she takes a room at Miss Gina’s Inn in town, only to find out that Wyatt, a contractor, is there several times a week doing remodeling. Now stranded with no car, Miss Gina offers Mel a job running the Inn while she has Wyatt renovate a small cottage in back for her to eventually retire in.

It doesn’t take long for Wyatt to develop more than a passing interest in Mel and, her to develop similar feelings for him. However, in short order, Mel’s past surfaces.

Will her past ruin their developing relationship? Will Wyatt stay and fight for her and, if he does, will Mel let Wyatt help?

As usual, just when you think you’ve got things figured out, Catherine has added enough unexpected twists and turns to keep you guessing till the end. Like all of her romance stories, Doing it Over, is very well written, with believable characters and a plot you’ll find yourself enveloped in from the very beginning.

It’s hard to find a Catherine Bybee romance story that doesn’t have you page turning late into the night to find out what happens and, this one is no exception.

A well written, well developed story with believable characters whose lives you can’t help but get involved in.
