5-fly Book Review – Meet Clara Andrews by Lacey London

Meet Clara Andrews is the first book in a series that I’m sure will find a place in everyone’s heart. If book one is any indication, and I’m sure it is, this series will have you instantly falling in love with Clara and laughing at her antics on every page.

Clara lives in London and works as a designer in the fashion industry. She loves her job, good food, a good drink or two (or more) and her best friend Lianna. In fact, she loves life and a good time.

Suddenly, along comes Oliver, a handsome designer from America who has been hired to help revive and bring new life to their design line. Assigned as the other half of Oliver’s design team, the two of them find they work well together as he helps Clara put a new spin on the upcoming seasons’ designs.

Soon, being teammates goes beyond the design room as their feelings for each other become obvious. However, before Oliver made his feelings clear, Clara started dating George, a bartender she met during an evening out. Just as she’s about to tell George she’s involved and has feelings for another man, things go south. Way south!

Abruptly, her simple life isn’t so simple anymore as her feelings for Oliver grow, while she tries to figure out how to let George down easy.

Clara Andrew too and the other characters in her life are adorable and impossible not to like and cheer for. Lacey London has done an outstanding job developing each of them into people you can relate to, love, laugh at and cry with as they complicate each other’s life; mostly in a good way.

Meet Clara Andrews is wonderfully written, easy read and full of wonderful one-liners you’ll likely be writing down to use when you can. The storyline, while simple, has enough twists and turns to easily hold your interest as you giggle through the complications in their lives from cover to cover.

Definitely, a cute, funny and outstanding love story (and series) you’ll not want to miss.
